Purple blush has been trending on social media, and we’re just as curious as you are: is this a makeup look redheads can pull off? Many of the beauty creators using the blush have a more warm, olive complexion, and the purple looks amazing.
One of our favorite colors redheads can wear is lilac/purple. Purple never looks too harsh against our skin and it makes our red hair pop. But, that got us thinking, can fair-skinned redheads pull off purple blush?
According to an article by Allure Magazine, there are purple blushes targeted to every skin color. In the article, makeup artist Nydia Figueroa recommends a more pinky lavender hue for those with fair skin. The product recommended by Figueroa is the Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Pansy Pop which has some nice pink undertones. “This blush is great for a fair complexion because it creates just a kiss of color on the cheeks,” Figueroa explains. “This is a powder formula, so I love using a fluffy blush and applying this on the apples of the cheeks for a pop of color.”
We also found some other redhead-approved options including Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Hey and Palladio Matte Blush, Berry Pink.
