Step 1: Prime Face & Eyes

Think of primer as the photoshop of the makeup world. They’re used underneath makeup to create a smoothing effect that enhances makeup coverage and helps your makeup stay on longer — all while targeting concerns like oily, dry skin, blue veins, and dark circles.

It’s best to use a face primer for everywhere except your eyes, and a separate eye primer for your eye-lids.

Step 2: Color Correct

The best way to combat dark under-eye circles and blue veins is color correction. Using a color correcting technique will allow you to bring your skin back to “neutral” and avoid having that dark shadow show under your foundation.

Since under-eye circles and blue veins are both cool-toned, you will want to offset the coolness with a warmer color corrector. Opt for a peach or yellow corrector to get started, you may find something more orange or yellow works better for your skin tone.
